The breakfast seminar “Solving challenges of protein charge heterogeneity characterization using icIEF and mass spec” will be held in Room 213A, Anaheim Convention Center, Tuesday, June 4, 7-8am PDT. Dr. Chris Heger from Bio-Techne will present an overview of the MauriceFlex platform, followed by a summary of the recent collaborations from his lab, including AAV capsid protein fractionation upstream of LC-MS, antibody charge variant fractionation enabling CZE-MS, and more. Dr. Carillo from NIBRT will describe a complete workflow using icIEF fractionation and analysis of each fraction by intact analysis using microchip CE-MS technology or bottom-up analysis by nano LC-MS/MS workflow using innovator and biosimilar infliximab as a model analyte, enabling the deep characterization and study of infliximab biosimilar microheterogeneity at both the intact and bottom-up level to correlate icIEF profiles with site-specific PTM abundance and speed up the analytical biosimilarity assessment of biopharmaceuticals.
